This delicious recipe is perfect for the Holidays or any day you want to bring some Italian flair to your seafood. This recipe is courtesy of Chef Marianna Kunzmann, one of the incredible chefs at our parent company, High Road Craft Brands.
Ingredients: For the Fish:
4 Cod Fish Fillets
Extra-virgin olive oil for drizzling
Bread Crumbs, about 1 cup
Blood Orange Glaze:
8 oz Ciao Bella Blood Orange Sorbetto
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 sprigs fresh thyme
2 oz of Butter
1 clove of garlic minced
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Combine the bread crumbs, Salt and Pepper to Taste in a bowl or dish.
Bread the fillets in the bread crumb mixture and place into an oven safe pan.
Drizzle some olive oil across the top of the filets.
Bake until the fish is opaque. Approx 15 - 25 minutes depending on the thickness of your filets.
While the fish is baking, make the glaze.
Place a small saucepan on medium heat.
Melt the butter and sauté the garlic and thyme until the garlic becomes fragrant, approx. 2 minutes.
Add the vinegar and cook for 1 minute.
Add the Ciao Bella Sorbetto Blood Orange and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer.
Place the fully cooked cod onto your dish and drizzle the blood orange sauce all around
Optional: Garnish with segmented blood orange pieces and thyme.
Pairs well over a bed of rice and Red Berries Sangria.
