SUMMER TOUR: Ciao Bella to Share 1 Million Samples this summer

CIAO BELLA®, America’s Favorite Gelato, kicked off our Discover-Savor-Share 2009 sampling tour, aimed at handing out one million free samples of our intensely flavorful frozen desserts to consumers across the country. From May through September, Ciao Bella travelled to retailers on the East and West Coasts in branded "Gelato Mobiles" to share our new 3.5 ounce single serve cups with consumers. Available at Safeway, Costco, Harris Teeter and other supermarket chains across the country, the single serve cups come in some of Ciao Bella’s most popular flavors - Blood Orange sorbet, Mango sorbet, Lemon sorbet, Tahitian Vanilla gelato, Turkish Pistachio gelato and Chocolate Hazelnut gelato. The tour marked Ciao Bella’s first major bicoastal summer sampling effort, coming one year after their Discover-Savor-Share East Coast tour in which they handed out over 100,000 free scoops of gelato and sorbet. Utilizing the single serve cups, the 2009 trek gave consumers a first look at Ciao Bella’s latest product line, which boasts perfectly portioned individual servings of gelato and sorbet packaged in a branded cup with a spoon tucked conveniently under the lid.
